What's the Best Method to Extract Attachments from Multiple EML Files at Once?

I regularly receive EML files in bulk and need all their attachments saved to a single location. I'm looking for a fast method that doesn't require opening each email individually.

If you’re dealing with a bunch of EML files, opening them one by one just to save attachments is honestly a waste of time. This usually happens because EML files store emails separately so there’s no built-in way to batch pull out attachments unless you use a mail client or some script.

A basic manual method is using Thunderbird or Windows Live Mail, importing the EML files then saving attachments from each email. It works, but once the count goes beyond a few dozen files, it gets slow and messy quickly. Also, there’s always a chance of missing files if the folder structure is large.

For bulk cases, I’ve seen people use Softaken EML Attachment Extractor since it can load multiple EML files at once and pull attachments in one go without opening emails individually. It just saves everything to a chosen folder, which keeps things simple.

One thing I’d suggest is to always double-check duplicate files after extraction, especially if emails were forwarded multiple times.
