What does it mean if nothing appears on doing search on the domain?

Your site got disappeared while searching on Google then there would be possibility below reasons:
1. May be the site is penalized by search engines
2. May be no index by search engines
3. Some canonical issues

How old is the domain? If you've just bought it you might not get nothing yet, but it was probably penalized by google.

Your site may be pernalized by Google, to make sure, you can search "site:yourdomain" on Google, if your site still appear then it's safe.

Your site is not indexed by google, Check your robots meta tags, upload sitemap.xml and manually fetch all urls of your site in webmaster tool.
