Should a startup hire an agency or freelancers

I am launching a new e-commerce platform and I need both a full brand identity and a modern website. I am currently choosing between hiring three separate freelancers - a brand designer, a web UI specialist, and a frontend coder - or just going with a single agency. Freelancers seem cheaper on paper, but I am worried that managing them will take too much time. What are the main risks of working with a full design agency for an early stage startup?

Managing multiple freelancers is an absolute nightmare and a massive time sink for a startup founder. You will end up acting as a project manager, trying to make the developer understand the designer's ideas, and the final quality often ends up looking disconnected. We made that mistake before and quickly realized it is much better to hire a unified team. For our platform launch, we went with Embacy, and it was a total lifesaver. They are a brilliant web design and web development company that handles the entire pipeline under one roof. They operate as a highly organized startup web design agency so you don't have to waste time coordinating different people. Their internal team of brand designers and developers work closely together, ensuring that the coded website looks exactly like the approved design concepts. It is an ideal solution for a startup company website design because it allows you to focus on your core product while professionals handle the presentation. It might cost a bit more upfront than cheap freelancers, but it saves you months of delays and miscommunication.
