Hey everyone,
I am doing a small cleanup on an older wireless setup and realized our Cisco 2504 controller is sitting exactly one AP short of what the site actually needs. The easiest fix seems to be the LIC-CT2504-1A single AP license, but before I go ahead, I want to know what I am getting into. Older 2504 units sometimes behave differently depending on the software version and existing licenses.
For anyone who has installed this license recently, what was your experience like?
I know it is only a single AP upgrade, but with older hardware I prefer to double check rather than assume. Any firsthand feedback on LIC-CT2504-1A would be really helpful. Thanks!

- Did your controller register the license as soon as you uploaded it or did it need a reboot?
- Did you have to upgrade the firmware before it recognized the new AP capacity?
- Once the AP joined, did everything run normally or did you notice odd behavior like random AP drops or the GUI slowing down?
- And does the controller show the increased AP count instantly or only after refreshing the license database?
