For the past few days, Outlook has been crashing whenever I click on my Inbox folder. Safe Mode works temporarily, but the issue returns as soon as I restart Outlook normally. After reading multiple Microsoft Community posts, I suspect my Outlook data file has become corrupted. Before trying random fixes, I'd like to know the safest way to Repair Corrupted Outlook PST File without risking permanent data loss.
My mailbox contains years of customer communication, contracts, and project documentation. Losing even a small portion of that information would create serious problems. I already disabled add-ins, created a new Outlook profile, and even repaired Microsoft Office, but nothing solved the issue because the PST itself appears to be damaged.
After reading user experiences online, I decided to test the DRS Softech PST Recovery Tool. The recovery process was much easier than expected. It scanned the damaged PST thoroughly, displayed recoverable mailbox items before saving them, and allowed me to export the recovered mailbox into a healthy Outlook PST file. Everything, including attachments and folder organization, remained exactly where it should be.
Has anyone experienced Outlook crashing because of PST corruption? What recovery method finally solved the issue for you?
