Nike will be firing most of the team members behind FuelBand which was a tracker people used to maintain their fitness levels. There may be several reasons for this but one thing is obvious and that is the Nike is no longer interested in FuelBand marketing or the enhancement of this product.
Another reason can be that the Nike did not got the response of FuelBand it was expecting or they thought that the product does not have a promising future. What ever the reason it is believed that Nike will be concentration its efforts on making good software for existing devices rather than making its own devices.
