Hey friends
I’m planning to do a **200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT)** and have been looking into **Rishikesh**, which everyone calls the *Yoga Capital of the World*.
There are so many yoga schools there — from traditional ashrams to modern TTC centers — and it’s hard to know which one offers **authentic training at a reasonable cost**.
From what I’ve found, most courses cover **Hatha, Ashtanga, Meditation, Pranayama**, and **Yoga Philosophy**, along with a calm stay near the Ganges. Prices usually range from ₹40,000–₹60,000 including food and accommodation.
I came across this helpful article that lists some of the best-rated schools, what to expect from the training, and how to choose the right one based on your goals:

Would love to hear your opinions —
* Have you or someone you know done yoga training in Rishikesh?
* Which institutes or ashrams would you recommend?
* Any tips for first-time yoga learners heading there?
Let’s make this a helpful thread for anyone planning to study yoga in India
