I was spending so much on serums and creams but completely ignoring the most basic step — my face wash

Hi all! I want to talk about something that took me embarrassingly long to figure out — the importance of your face wash in an anti aging routine. I used to think cleanser was just cleanser. Just get the dirt off and move on to the "real" products, right? Wrong.

For almost two years I was using a foaming face wash that left my skin squeaky clean but also incredibly tight and dry afterward. I thought that feeling meant it was working. Turns out it meant my skin barrier was being stripped every single day and all the serums and creams I was applying afterward were basically trying to repair damage my cleanser was causing.

Once I switched to an actual anti aging face wash with gentler, skin-supporting ingredients things like glycerin, amino acids and gentle exfoliants my entire routine started performing better. My moisturizer absorbed more effectively, my serum actually did what it promised and my skin stopped feeling reactive.

This collection has some really good options worth looking at anti aging face wash especially if you're someone who hasn't given much thought to what you're cleansing with.

Honestly switching my cleanser gave me better results than the expensive serum I bought the same month. It's the foundation of everything.

Do you guys pay attention to your face wash or is it something you just grab without much thought? Would love to know if anyone else had a similar experience after switching!
