How Do You Review Thousands of Outlook MSG Files During an Employee Account Audit?

Hi everyone,

I'm part of the HR team at our company, and recently I was assigned to audit the email records of a former employee. We received a large collection of Outlook .msg files that needed to be reviewed for compliance and documentation purposes.

The challenge is that there are thousands of individual MSG files spread across multiple folders. Opening them one by one in Outlook is extremely slow, and searching for specific emails by subject, sender, or keywords isn't practical.

I also needed to:

• Search for specific conversations related to HR cases.
• Find emails within a particular date range.
• Preview attachments without opening every email.
• Export a few important emails to PDF for documentation.

I ended up trying SysTools MSG Viewer Pro+, and it made the review process much easier because it indexed the MSG files, provided advanced search (including keyword and date filters), and let me export only the emails I actually needed. It saved a lot of manual effort during the audit.

I'm curious how others handle similar situations.
