Feeling stuck with freelance work — looking for more consistent group projects?

Hi everyone,
I'm a freelancer with a background in content writing and light data entry. Over the past year, work has been really unstable — some months I get by, others I barely make anything. I’ve noticed that individual gigs are drying up, and I started wondering whether group-based projects or communities could be more reliable. Maybe something with longer-term coordination or collective tasks? I’m open to exploring new directions, especially ones with at least semi-regular payouts. Has anyone tried joining task groups or crowdsourcing platforms with a team-based approach?

Thanks in advance 🙏

Hey, I totally get where you’re coming from. I’ve been freelancing for a while too, and the unpredictability is the worst part. I’ve also been considering platforms that focus more on collaboration than isolated gigs. Following this thread closely — maybe someone can recommend something that actually works long term.

I used to feel the same — juggling tiny one-off jobs with no real consistency. What helped me a lot was finding platforms focused on team-based task execution, rather than individual hustle. One that actually stood out to me recently is this site I stumbled across: https://crowd-groups.com/en/ It’s more about organized groups taking on larger tasks together, which means better payout structure and a bit more community feel. Might be worth looking into if you’re tired of doing everything solo.

Thanks so much to everyone who shared their thoughts and suggestions. It’s really helpful just knowing others are going through the same thing and finding ways to adapt. I’ll definitely check out the platform you mentioned — it sounds like exactly the kind of structured environment I’ve been hoping for. Appreciate you all 🙌
