In many residential projects I see budget going high because of hidden costs. Like site preparation, waste removal, or extra material. These things make client unhappy because final cost is more than they expect.
How you people manage this problem? Do you use software, your own estimator, or you take help from outside?
I also hear about Construction Estimating Services, which give detail cost and material takeoff. Maybe this can help to avoid such problem. What you think?
