Do any rock stars ever come through Phoenix?

Just moved to Phoenix from a tiny town where the closest thing to a live show was my neighbor humming on his porch with a banjo. Phoenix feels like a whole different world so I'm guessing there's a lot more going on here. How often do big rock and metal acts actually come through?

Phoenix is pretty much a conservative city at its core. Country is what most locals are into, so you're actually not that far from the banjo scene you left behind. Rock acts do swing through every now and then though.

There are plenty of shows, clubs have someone playing pretty much every night. Most of them are unknowns who haven't built up a following yet, but bigger names do come through too. Really depends on whether you're into heavier stuff or something more melodic. Six Feet Under are coming through soon if you want something that'll melt your face off, and The Pretty Reckless if you lean toward the more melodic side.
