Dinner with views of the illuminated castle

I really want to see the Prague Castle at night because I've heard the illumination is beautiful.
Are there any specific spots or restaurants where you can eat and have a direct view of it? I'm worried about booking a place only to find out the "view" is just a tiny sliver of a tower. Is it better to be high up or closer to the river for the best photos?

For the absolute best views of the Castle, you definitely want to be on the river.

Most "view" restaurants are either at a weird angle or very expensive for average food. A dinner cruise is actually the "cheat code" for photographers. You move past the Castle, the National Theatre, and the Rudolfinum, so you get every possible angle while you eat.

We went on the "Crystal Dinner" which has a fully glass-topped boat, so you can see upwards even when you're sitting inside. You can find the different cruise types click here https://alle.travel/en/prague/category/dinner-cruise and see which one fits your schedule. The buffet usually has a mix of traditional Czech stuff and international dishes, so there's plenty to eat.

It’s super relaxing and way better than trying to find a perfect window at a hilltop cafe! 📸🌃

Woоооw, a glass-topped boat? That sounds like exactly what I need for the photos. I was worried about being stuck inside a dark cabin. I'll check those out right now, thank you!
