Can anyone tell me any tips/advices for promoting a new WordPress plugin?

Hi everyone,

We released a new free WordPress backup plugin, WPvivid Backup/Restore, which is available to download from WordPress plugin directory now (https://wordpress.org/plugins/wpvivid-backuprestore/).

A few weeks passed and the active installations don’t meet our expectation. This is our first plugin, so I want any tips and advices from anyone experienced at promoting new WordPress plugins.

Any tips and advices are welcome and greatly appreciated.
