Blog with new technologies in logistics

I work as a truck driver, and last week my truck broke down on the road at night. I don't know the country very well, so it took me a long time to find a tow truck. Is there anyone on the forum who works in logistics and could write about how you solve these problems, or are there new technologies in logistics that can help with this?

What route do you usually take, in Europe or the US? I need to deliver food from Poland to Portugal once every two weeks, and I almost always look for drivers on GetTransport. Are you registered there, or do you work as a driver for a private company? I recently read on their blog about Ryder 24-hour roadside assistance , developed by Ryder System in partnership with Tow4Tech, where the software will search for the nearest available tow truck and automatically call it. As far as I know, this solution is for the US, but it is not yet known when it will work in Europe, but I hope it will be soon. Shouldn't the company you work for deal with these problems on the road?
