One of the biggest mistakes that I have noticed that people make is that they continually overextend themselves materially. A lot of people continue to buy things on credit and don't seem to recognize that you really shouldn't buy things that you don't have money for. The end result in many cases is that they end up in a huge debt and then have no way out. It's unfortunate but that is something that I have seen many fall into.
