I'm helping my manager organize old email records that were exported from Outlook several years ago. Most of the files are in EML format, and we need to access the messages along with their attachments for documentation purposes.
I initially tried Apple Mail because many people suggested it as the easiest way to Open EML File on Mac. While it worked for a few files, some emails appeared with broken formatting and certain attachments were difficult to access. Since accuracy was important, I didn't want to rely solely on manual methods.
Eventually, I tested the DRS Softech EML Viewer, and it made the process much smoother. The software allowed me to browse through multiple EML files, preview email content, and review attachment information without changing the original files. It saved a lot of time compared to importing emails one by one.
For anyone managing archived email data on a Mac, what method do you prefer? Are there other reliable options that preserve email formatting and metadata while viewing EML files?
