Hey folks,
I am handling a wireless expansion for a site that still runs a Cisco 2504 controller that we originally sourced through ORM Systems, and we have finally outgrown the current AP limit. The L-LIC-CT2504-5A license looks like the simplest way to add five more access points, but with older controllers I never fully trust that the process will be straightforward.
If anyone has deployed this license recently, I would love to know how it went:
Since the 2504 platform is already aging, I want to avoid any unexpected problems after the expansion. If anyone has real experience with L-LIC-CT2504-5A good or bad I would appreciate hearing about it. Thanks!

If anyone has deployed this license recently, I would love to know how it went:
- Was the license activation smooth using the PAK and Smart Licensing workflow?
- After installation, did all five APs join correctly or did you run into certificate or join issues?
- Did your 2504 require a specific firmware version before it recognized the additional AP capacity?
- Once the extra APs were active, did the controller stay stable in terms of CPU, memory and general responsiveness?
