Anyone Seen Random Link Flaps with J9150D on Short SMF Runs?

I’ve been working with a few J9150D LR modules this week and ran into something I didn’t fully expect. Most of the links came up instantly and have been solid, but one of them keeps dropping in a pretty random pattern. The run is only around 2 km on single mode, so distance isn’t even close to the limit.

I swapped the J9150D with another known-good one, cleaned the connectors, tried different patch leads, and even moved it to another port. The weird part is that the issue always follows the same fiber path, not the module or the switch. Light levels look fine, but the link still flaps every once in a while like it’s struggling to stay locked.

I’m starting to wonder if there’s a hidden splice issue or maybe some micro-bend somewhere that isn’t obvious. The rest of the fiber in this route behaves normally, though, which makes this one even more confusing.

Has anyone else seen unstable behavior with J9150D on shorter SMF runs? What ended up being the fix for you?
