Hey everyone,
I am working on a small expansion for a site that still uses a Cisco 2504 controller that we sourced through ORM Systems, and of course we just hit the AP limit again. The L-LIC-CT2504-1A license looks like the simplest way to add a single access point, but with older controllers nothing ever feels as simple as it should be.
If anyone has applied this license recently, I would really appreciate some insight:
Since the 2504 is already aging, I just want to make sure this one AP addition does not create avoidable trouble. If anyone has real world experience with L-LIC-CT2504-1A whether smooth or frustrating I would appreciate hearing about it. Thanks!

If anyone has applied this license recently, I would really appreciate some insight:
- Did the license activation go smoothly using the PAK and Smart Licensing workflow?
- After applying it, did the new AP join without throwing certificate or join timeout errors?
- Did your controller need a specific firmware version to recognize the added capacity?
- Once the AP was online, did you notice any change in controller performance such as CPU spikes or sluggish web UI?
