Why do men wear gold rings ?

I guess l am not the only one that noticed that majority of women will condemn a man using a necklace (though the same people will agree if makes women look good!) since they are under the wrong impression that it is only women that are supposed to look good.

After-all, if a man looks too dashing, he might just become the subject of more than "one female's attention" (and women dont like competition at all grin grin)
