Usually there's a three month probationary period but this should be in your contract. They should let you know what you need to achieve within that time. It may vary, especially if the firm are a bit dodgy!
Certainly it does where I work. However I think it's important to remember that no-one expect a new member of staff to get everything right first time, any good company will be looking for someone who is reliable, a good fit with the rest of the team, willing to learn and has the capabilities that they have claimed on their CVs. By the way if you are looking for a job, i will share good job board for you, it is Jobsora. Recently I found good job in Sheffield https://uk.jobsora.com/jobs-sheffield with it help. I'm a Coveyancing Assistant.
