What are Keywords?

Keyword is a word or collection of words that describes your website in search engines. It is the term used to rank your website and search it in various search consoles. They represent your website identity online.
 
to be more specific i'll give you an example, let's say you have a website about cars and you want that every time that someone writes "cars" in google your website will be in the first page of the results - in that case the keyword is "cars".
 
Keywords are the words and phrases that Internet users type into search box of a search engine, such as Google, to find what websites that match what are looking for.
Keywords are very important for every business website as they drive targeted web traffic to your business for free. When done well, using the right keywords can skyrocket your business to sales success online.
