Hey everyone,

I’m new to cable wakeboarding and looking for advice on choosing the right board. What factors should I consider? I’ve heard that flex and rocker types can make a big difference. Are there specific brands or models you’d recommend for beginners?

Also, how important is board size in relation to my weight and riding style? Any tips on how to test out different boards or what features to prioritize would be really helpful.

For beginners, go for a board with softer flex—easier to control and more forgiving. When it comes to cable wakeboards, a continuous rocker is smoother and offers better stability, while a 3-stage rocker gives more pop for tricks. Board size should match your weight—larger boards give better stability, especially starting out. Brands like Ronix, Liquid Force, and Hyperlite make great beginner boards. If you can, try out different boards before buying to find what suits you best.
