Is black marble good for high-traffic terraces?

We are designing an outdoor dining terrace and a kitchen area for a luxury villa. The client wants a premium dark look. Is black marble durable enough for outdoor weather and heavy use, or should we look at other options?

From my experience, marble stains way too easily outdoors. Check https://golovinski.com/blog/labradorite-flooring/ for a much better alternative. We layouted labradorite granite floor slabs from Golovinski for a boutique hotel lobby and terrace recently. It brings that exact restrained luxury and deep material presence without any of the maintenance headaches. The black stone looks incredible under natural light and handles heavy wear perfectly.
