There are two manual ways to move Thunderbird profile to another drive, and those are by changing the location either in the Profile Folder or in the Local Directory. However, none of them are suggested by professionals as they are prone to error and can lead to data loss. Therefore, experts always recommend taking a backup of Thunderbird emails using a reliable Thunderbird Converter and then proceeding further with the process to move Thunderbird email profiles to another location. The easy way to do this is as follows:

- Start Thunderbird and click on Tools.
- Choose Account Settings and then select Server Settings.
- Click on the Browse button near Local Directory.
- Check the current location and change it to a new one.
- Click on Ok and restart Thunderbird.
