Common elements in web design layout

Creating a website design is not a simple process. You have to know many details related to web designing to give your websites the most perfect look. Web design layouts vary with respect to the requirements and preferences.

Here are a few common elements in web design layout.

Header of the webpage is the first thing that one sees in a website. Most of the websites have images in the header section. These images cover the topmost width of the webpage and give an idea about the website. The header size is usually 700-800 pixels, as this the most preferred width. The header part should contain an image that defines the website in the simplest way. The intention of your website should be thus delivered in a simple and appealing way. The header should also include the title of the websites.

If your website contains multiple pages, you can install navigation menus to facilitate easy access. The navigation menu styles are different for different websites. Big websites usually have separate menus that guide the users from one page to another.

Your website should have an optimized content. Give quality content thatís user as well as search engine friendly. After giving the necessary width area for the navigation menu, the rest of the space can be allotted for the content.

You can go through the blogs written by web designers from website designing company India to know more about important elements in web design layout.

You might want to look into the 960 Grid System, which is a popular foundation for designing web pages these days. Depending on how you have your grid set up, 960 or 940 pixels would be the ideal width to design for. Also, there is more of an emphasis on responsive layout these days that can adapt to multiple screen sizes and multiple devices.

The header, footer, main page, and nav. system are all given in almost any site. There's a really nice tool out called 960 GS (Grid System). It basically has some templates you can use for the layout of your site.

Along with the above elements, you must learn how to make your website becomes mobile friendly. So learning those topics, learning advanced CSS and Html, along with Php and Photoshop for designs and graphics can greatly help you create better websites.

Usually, for a mobile version of the site, you need to make sure the main content is accessible from all available (current) mobile web browsers for Android, Blackberry, iOS, and etc.

Sometimes, web designers make an entirely new webpage and redirect the user to there if the site detects as such.

A common element on all my sites is the sidebar. I usually put it on the right. Very often I have two right sidebars. I have looked at many themes in Wordpress and I find that the sidebar is a very common feature.
