Do you even look forward to the next windows anymore?

Windows 8 is better than Windows 7, I have to admit. The speed is noticeably better to me. It may not be for everyone though. It just seems new Windows versions get better each year with more clutter. I'd like to see a nice bare bones Windows version like 95 or something that is incredibly fast. Opinions on this?

Of course I am, they just jumped into the dragon's den with this Windows 8 release.
It's a OS for both desktop/laptops and tablets, and especially for the new hybrids like the Surface Pro.
The only big dissapointment I had was Windows Vista, other than that I never had a problem with windows, and I want to see how their next OS will look like since the markets are changing so fast.
I wouldn't want remade versions of Win95 or XP, honestly I'll stick with their most recent stuff.

No, not really. I'm still using Windows XP. I will be upgrading to Windows 7 when I get a new computer. I have seen Windows 8 and it's pretty fast. It was rather impressive. I think it's more suitable for a mobile environment, not on a laptop.

This is a misconception that many people have about windows 8, it's suited for all of them, talbets/desktops/laptops.
Just get used to the metro interface, it's not that hard.. And even if you want that damn start button back just install Start8, people always complain before giving it a try.
