    Re: What is Domain Authority?

Domain Authority (DA) is a score board developed by Moz that helps to know how well a website will rank on (SERP). We calculate Domain Authority by considering many metrics — linking root domains, number of total links, MozRank, etc.

    Re: What is Domain Authority?

Domain authority is the measure of strength and popularity of your domain in search engines. It is measured by Moz and your domain is ranked between 0 to100 depending on the popularity and trust. DA can be improved by good content update and also by building backlinks from other relevant domains.

Domain authority is a metric which was created by Moz (SaaS company), for the purpose of rating a website on a scale of 1-100, (100 being the best and 1 being the worst). So the higher the domain authority of a website, the higher its ranking in search engines.

Domain Authority (DA) is a search engine ranking score developed by Moz that predicts how well a website will rank on search engine result pages (SERPs). A Domain Authority score ranges from one to 100, with higher scores corresponding to a greater ability to rank.

Domain Authority is calculated by evaluating linking root domains, number of total links, MozRank, MozTrust, etc. — into a single DA score. This score can then be used when comparing websites or tracking the "ranking strength" of a website over time.

Domain Authority is an estimated metric by Moz about how well you can rank on Google. But it has nothing to do with your actual ranking, it's inaccurate.

    Re: What is Domain Authority?

The Domain Authority metric measures the "trust" factor related to your domain and is used to determine the effectiveness of link-building efforts. Domain Authority and Page Authority are influenced by the number of links to your domain and the authority of those ranks. For example, websites with a .edu domain typically carry more authority than a .com or .net domain. Analyzing your "backlink" profile (and that of your competitors) can illustrate ways to increase the amount of trust search engines place on your domain, thereby improving your SEO traffic.
