    Padding in the sense to adjust clearance of around any object in CSS, CSS is basically a Cascading Style Sheets that generally linked with an HTML file to adjust the color, text, Images, link, heading ETC.

    We have our hands, we can stretch them to some distance, that possible distance within our range you can take it as your padding. Same way we will give padding to an element in html. We have write padding to a class or an ID in Cascaded Style Sheet (C S S). Padding and Margin are the two important parameters in C S S.
