    Re: What is RISC..?

A reduced instruction set computer, or RISC is one whose instruction set architecture (ISA) has a set of attributes that allows it to have a lower cycles per instruction (CPI) than a complex instruction set computer (CISC).

    Re: What is RISC..?

RISC stands for reduced instruction set computer. It is a microprocessor that is designed to perform a smaller number of types of computer instructions so that it can operate at a higher speed (perform more millions of instructions per second, or MIPS).
